"Inspired by a typical backyard BBQ turned fancy, I wanted to try something a little more gourmet than a hotdog. This recipe is my take on a gourmet Italian dog."
Ingredients
1 package al fresco Spicy Jalapeno Chicken Sausage
2 slices of Lavish Flatbread (cut into 1/2 slices)
4 tbsp of pesto (1 tbsp per flatbread)
12 cherry tomatoes, sliced
1 cup mixed greens
Balsamic glaze (or heat balsamic vinegar until just boiling, then cool)
Directions:
- 1Lightly cut into the sausage (just piecing the skin) in a spiral from top to bottom
- 2Grill until warm and light
- 3Spread pesto, lettuce, and tomatoes on the Lavish flatbread
- 4Add sausage
- 5Drizzle with balsamic glaze
- 6Serve and Enjoy!
