1996 – We Were Founded by Deb O’Donnell 

Deb grew up in the family business, as the great granddaughter of Kazimierz Monkiewicz, founder of Kayem Foods.

1999 – Our First Chicken Sausages Launched  

Deb collaborated with John Levins, former chef Cambridge’s Green Street Grill to develop a better chicken sausage that tasted fresh and flavorful.

2004 – Expanding into Chicken Breakfast Sausage 

Building on the success of our Chicken Dinner Sausages, we launched three chicken breakfast sausages – country style, apple maple, and blueberry.

2012 – #1 in Chicken Dinner Sausage  

Al Fresco becomes the number 1 selling chicken dinner sausage in the country!

2016 – Al Fresco launches Fully Cooked Chicken Bacon  

Al Fresco launches fully cooked chicken bacon that can be heated as a side or used in a sandwich or just eaten on it’s own.

2020 – COVID Supply 

We wanted to recognize all our workers who kept our manufacturing facilities producing and delivered the high-quality consumers expected.
